You don't react in time and you're too heavy, you begin to sink and struggle to grab something. You aren't completely unlucky as it turns out, there's a strong branch nearby that you can able to reach.

However, if you're wearing/carrying any metal armor you must discard them quickly before you sink faster and miss the branch.

Upon pulling yourself out, you will also find that all your rations are spoiled. You must discard them all.

You curse your luck and try to dry yourself off the best you can before moving on.
