You only had a brief foray into the ruins before, but other than some simple undead you didn't really encounter anything too bad, at least nothing you don't think you wouldn't be up to the challenge now.

It's up to you if you want to bother going down there to see if you missed something of worth, but if you choose to go you're familiar with the place and know something of what to expect that you will not suffer any darkness penalties when you enter the ruins.
