You wake up to loud shouting and heavy objects thrown at you. It's your dad.
"Boy, what the hell is wrong with you? As if things aren't messed up enough 'round here, YOU gotta make them worse? There's a lynch mob outside beating down my door headed by Brenda's father! He claims several people saw you in the tavern last night killing Klint!" Your Dad yells holding a mace in his hand.
"We got into a fight and "
"I don't want to hear it! I don't care and neither do they! Brenda's completely upset given that you've deprived her child of a father now and her own father rounded up his friends to take justice out on you and I can't say I blame him!"
"Where are they now?"
"They're just outside my door, like I just said! Your mother is currently trying to plead your case and stall them, but you need to get out of this village now and run to some place where nobody finds you!"
You gather your backpack and weapon quickly, but anything you were actually keeping at the house you don't have time to gather. (Cross them off your list) You dad motions you to head out the back window. Before leaving he says one last thing.
"Don't bother coming back."
You climb out of the window and try to sneak out of the village unnoticed, but the mob at this point aren't being distracted anymore and they surround the house. One of them sees you.
"HEY, THERE HE IS! HE'S TRYING TO GET AWAY!"
Your Dad wasn't kidding! There's a whole mob screaming for your blood complete with ropes, pitchforks and torches. Figures that even when the whole village is going down the goblin privy pit, you're the one they single out. Brenda's father sees you and aims his crossbow
