The Island of Destiny

As you size up the area that the hands are covering, you'd estimate that it's about a five foot jump. That's not bad at all. Bracing yourself, you leap into the air and fly over the small grasp of the hands in the sand.

As your feet touch the ground, you actually feel as if you're going to make it. Just then, more hands erupt from the ground and without more than a second to react, they all grab you, this time with force and strength, and pull you down into the ground.

As you frantically realize you're sinking, you completely freak out. What's going to happen to you?! Is this is? Are you going to die?! What about your destiny!!? Are the hands going to-
