Forest Dweller

Ayla falls asleep quite quickly, and it takes you a while to stop staring at her beautiful face. What luck- Elos actually made you end up in bed with AYLA! And you even have permission! You'll have to thank him before you kill him. Many, many thoughts of what you want to do to her come to mind, but you wouldn't dare without Ayla's consent. You scold yourself for even thinking about it, although in this position you realize it's a bit difficult to avoid.

She is sleeping soundly, and rolls over. You wrap your arms around her (hey, you can't be too careful- if you stop touching you could end up dead!), resisting the urge to hold her breasts. Instead you wrap your arms around her stomach and lean your head against her back. Soon you, too, are asleep, but not before experiencing a few minutes of pure bliss as you hold her in your arms.

You wake up, noticing that Ayla is out of bed already. You take a deep breath. So... the morning has arrived when you finally will set off to face Elos. You've no idea whether you are ready or not, whether you'll even last a few seconds against him. You get the feeling that only the power of the forest will give you any chance at all.

You head towards the exit of the village. Most of the villagers are preparing themselves for battle lest you fail to completely stop Elos. Ayla, however, surprises you by meeting you by the forest entrance. She smiles.

"Thank you."
"For what?" You ask.
"For... for not taking advantage of the situation last night. For both our sakes." You nod.
"I'd never do anything without your consent, Ayla." Ayla smiles sweetly.
"If only the laws were different. I've always been stopped from getting too close to you. From sparring with you too often, from having long talks... to be honest, I'm sick of it." You choose not to interpret this in any way other than Ayla being frustrated about not being better friends. You smile.
"We have our lives to get closer, Ayla. I'm not going anywhere."
"You're not... going to live with the humans?" This question strikes you off guard. Why would you even consider it?
"I'm ashamed of my race sometimes. No, I'm more comfortable being an elf. I know I'm not really... but I like to consider myself one. I'd never fit in in the human world. I've grown up, Ayla. I am used to the life of the elves. I've grown to love it. Sometimes I do wonder about the outside, but I know it wouldn't work out... I would miss everyone too much. Far too much." Ayla smiles, it almost looks as though she is holding back tears.
"The elves told me... told me that you had the option of leaving on-"
"On my twentieth birthday. You thought I was going to?" She looks down.
"You've never truly been accepted here as a true elf. I thought you might leave because of that. So... you're staying? Do you promise?" Again, the question strikes you off guard. Why would Ayla care so much? She's never truly seemed to show genuine interest in you- at least not enough to be crushed by you leaving the village.
"Sure. I promise." Ayla surprises you for the third time as she wraps her arms around you and rests her head on her shoulder, holding you close.
"Thank you..." She whispers softly. Then, just as quickly she pulls away and goes back to her normal self.
"You should be leaving now. Be careful, okay? You'd better come back alive!" Again, you see a hint of worry in her eyes.
"I will, I will. No sick human bastard is going to hurt me OR you. I won't let him." Ayla seems surprised but glad by the firmness in your voice.
"That's good. Well off you go! Take care and good luck!" Ayla waves and runs off, back towards the village. (Ayla's affection count has gone up by 12!)
You take a deep breath, hoping you can keep your word. It's time.
