Homicide and Havoc on Halloween

You are sitting in your last period of school, on the thirty first of October, anxiously waiting for class to end. You glance over at the clock. Only three minutes are left. Suddenly, the person seated in front of you whirls around. It's your best friend, Scarlett. She looks around to see if anyone is watching and then tells you, "Man, this class is so boring. Does the teacher really expect us to listen?” Scarlett groaned. “Anyways, let's go trick-or-treating tonight! It'll be really fun! And I can even come over to your neighborhood!" You respond, "Come on, Scarlett. We're too old. We're in high school now!" "But Paige," she moans, "I wanted to go with you again this year. Plus, we can even bring your sister!" "Oh no, " you say, "We're not bringing her. She would drag us around all night if she could." "Please?" Scarlett begs. The dismissal bell's loud chime rings in your ears as everyone except you and Scarlett gather their belongings to leave.
