Vacation
You too drop slowly to your knees. You look up to the man who is sitting on the platform, and a smile appears on his face. One of your captors says some garbled words and the man on the platform nods at him and replies. He then speaks to you. "Welcome men to the Absarroka Tribe. I am Chief Setting Moon. The gods have told us that you would be coming and have given us instructions on how we are to be hospitable to you."
"You are already messing up, we don't even want to be here." Spits out Riley with a sense of anger.
"The gods also told us you would not want to be here. It is time for our tribe to celebrate the Sun god, Avarottle. He has handed you four men over to us to aid in our celebration. Each year we have a week of food, games, tournaments, dancing, and worship. Then as the big finale, we offer to Avarottle a human sacrifice." Terror floods your body. "We will let you four choose who is to be the sacrifice. At the end of the week, for every competition that you win against your comrades, a white bean will be added to your sack. For every competition you lose, a black bean will be added to your sack. Before the sacrifice, each of you will draw a bean out of your own bag. If you receive a white bean, you will be given the chance to pick who will be the sacrifice. Your first competition will begin now." A cup is brought forth to each of you, and placed to your lips. It is obvious they want you to drink it, but do you?
