Your Life
"Th... Thanks, sis." you said, tearing up. "It's great but..."
Teri's heart began to sink. "But what?" she asked, fearing Tim had already got to you.
You sighed. "I... I don't know how to put any of this on." you replied, honestly. "If I try to do it myself, I fear I'll make a mess of my face."
Teri released a breath and smiled. "I could teach you." she offered. "As you have not yet experienced anything truly feminine, you don't know the wonders of being a girl."
You allowed your head to fall. "I don't know if I'm a girl or a boy yet." you replied. "It's more frustrating than you can imagine."
"I know, Alex." said Teri, wincing. "I'm just trying to help."
"I appreciate that." you said with a half smile. "I'll give the life of a girl a try, just push anything on me, okay?" you sighed. "I'm feeling very weird, my body trying to decide if I am male or female. It feels like a war is raging inside of me and the odds are even."
Teri nodded. "I understand." she said. "We'll take this slow, one step at a time."
Just then, another knock came to your door and Tim entered, not seeing Teri at first. "Happy birthday, Alex!" he said, smiling. "I got you something..."
You opened the long package to find a baseball bat, glove, and ball. "Um.. Thanks, Tim, they're great." you said. "Only, I promised to spend some time with Teri already." you winced, not wanting to hurt anyone's feelings. "Sorry, maybe later today?"
Tim turned to find Teri who smiled innocently and gave him a ginger wave. "Ladies first." she whispered, smiling. "Don't worry, maybe she'll become a tomboy."
Tim sighed, frustrated, then...
