Horoscopic
This should be easy, right? I mean, everyone has the basics of baking lying around in their kitchen. I am going to do this! Teach myself a new skill, with the help of Miranda Fogerty! Everyone will be wowed by my amazing scones!
This was what I thought all through the workday, but now I'm home again and not quite so enthusiastic. How the heck does Miranda find time to bake every day? My ankles are sore and my butt cries out for soft cushions. I just want to kick back with a Jodi Picoult novel and some light music. But...the scones await.
Okay. What are the ingredients? Flour, got that. Milk...eh, soy milk will work fine. Butter? Yeah, right. Margarine it is. Are baking soda and baking powder the same thing?
This dough seems kinda off for some reason. Should it be smooth or lumpy? I guess I'll stir it some more. Hmm, my bowl of dough is bland city...I should add something! You can add stuff to scones, right? I have some hazelnuts...I'll chop them up and put them in!
Okay....baking sheet, baking sheet. Guess I'll have to use a baking pan instead. It has a flat bottom, that's the important part.
Phew! They're in the oven! I can't wait to see how they come out!
