Sigma Epsilon Chi

Nerek found himself standing in the Sigma Epsilon Chi lobby, along with the rest of the fraternity. Presumably the other mercenaries were in the crowd with him, but aside from the four members he'd met, no one in the room looked familiar.

It was easy to discern who was the CFR- aside from the fact that she was the only woman in the room, standing front and center in a business suit. He had never seen such dark, sinister eyes. Everything about her was serious and proper. Spontaneous probably didn't even exist in her vocabulary- and Nerek wouldn't have been surprised to learn if her pussy was lined with rows of teeth.

"And now, gentlemen, I have the results of my studies. I don't think I need to remind you that your charter is at stake," she said, waving a tattered piece of scroll which was assumedly the chapter's founding charter. "As you know, I found one possible confirmation of illegitimate offspring. This was, however, a false positive. Jorrin, your sister failed her botany exam.

"It is my regret to announce that I do not have the proper evidence to shut down this debaucherous haven of smut. Gentlemen... your charter is safe."

Nerek thought that the CFR teleported out of the room, but it was honestly hard to tell; he lost track of her when the crowd rushed forward. Skeve, Piorre, and Bis were body surfing around the room, while several of the older looking dragons had dumped a celebratory keg of ale all over Jorrin.

Nerek slipped into the conference room, where he found the two other mercenaries. "Any idea when we get paid?"

"Sit down," said one, gesturing at an open chair. "We've done this before. You won't see a single coin until the party is done."

"Well, in that case," said Nerek, "I'll wait outside."

"In the rain?"

"No, in the party," said Nerek, laughing. "A free beer is a good beer in my book. Besides...

"I'm not about to miss out on my only chance to see a bunch of intoxicated dragons."
