Inside the Garden
The days pass and you refuse to drink from your sister. You grow weaker and weaker and yet the hunger grows stronger, whispering in your mind and leaving you without sleep.
You try eating the human food they bring for Lisa but it only makes you retch and leaves you weaker than before. Your sister spends most of her time crying and refuses to talk to you.
You start to go mad. You feel overwhelming surges of anger rush through you for no reason and the urge to destroy grows harder to resist as time goes by.
Eventually, Lisa crawls out of her corner, wiping her eyes dry on her ragged sleeve.
"You must drink from me," her voice is hoarse from disuse and grief, "you must or we'll both die down here. I trust you. You'll stop before you kill me."
You stare down into her trusting face.
