The Dungeon Master

His House was only a few blocks from the Club in the old historic district. They drove through a stone gateway to the front of an old victorian house. He paid the Cabbie and they stepped out into the cool damp night.

She looked to him to follow his lead and he led her by the elbow up the wooden front stairs. He opened the front door and closed it behind her with a loud click. He opened another door across from the Foyer and motioned that she should go down the stairs to the basement.

The Basement was dark as pitch at this time of night and she hesitated. Then she remembered her lighter and made her way down bathed in a golden glow.

She couldnt see anything else but the flame and her hand in the darkness and searched to find her bearings.

He had found a candle stick while she made her way down and he held it up to her Zippo to light it. He then used that candle to light the candelabra on a side table.

As each candle came to life with a kiss from the first, she could see more of the room.
