You look out at Loch Ness, a large, deep, freshwater lake in northern Scotland. Loch Ness is best known for being the home of the fabled Loch Ness Monster, or Nessie. The Loch Ness Monster is most frequently reported as a serpentine aquatic creature with a large body, elephant-like skin, and a small head atop a long, narrow, neck.

The most popular hypothesis as to Nessie's identity is that it is a prehistoric aquatic reptile, such as a plesiosaur. Despite skeptics dismissing sightings and photographs of a monster in Loch Ness as a hoax or misidentified animal, debris, or aquatic phenomenon, other kinds of evidence have been found supporting the existence of the Loch Ness Monster. Multiple scientific studies have been conducted using the latest technologies, such as underwater sound recording, sonar, and underwater photography, which have yielded data supporting the existence of creatures in Loch Ness that fit the description of Nessie.

You look around for clues to Carmen Sandiego's whereabouts. Beyond the uneasy feeling that the Loch Ness Monster is watching you, you find nothing out of the ordinary. You ask the people you meet if they have seen anything.
