Fan Fic: Where in the World Is Carmen Sandiego?
You arrive in the country of San Marino, the main national symbols of which are the Three Towers. The Three Towers were originally built as defensive fortifications during medieval times. Their names are Guaita, Cesta, and Montale; Guaita is the oldest and most famous. The Three Towers are located on Monte Titano, the highest mountain in the country. Monte Titano has three peaks: on each one are one of the Three Towers. The Towers are represented on San Marino's national flag, coat of arms, currency, and signature pastry- the Cake of the Three Towers (a layered wafer cake covered in chocolate).
You take a walk through the town, keeping your eyes open for clues to Connor Tist's whereabouts.
A group of kids are playing basketball at a playground. You ask them if they had seen the crook or the loot. They all shake their heads.
You ask a barista about Connor Tist and O'Hare Airport.
"Nopesorrycanthelpyouthere. Goodluckwithfindinghimthough. Darntheespressomachinesleakingagain, itwasnicetalkingtoyou..." the barista replies.
You keep ambling around the town when a flashy neon sign catches your eye.
"Fortune Teller," the sign reads.
You walk up the narrow stairway to the fortune teller's room.
The fortune teller sits behind a table with a crystal ball resting on top of it. You sit down opposite the fortune teller.
You ask her where Connor Tist is.
The fortune teller gazes into the crystal ball. "I'm starting to see something. It says Connor Tist is NOT in San Marino," she says. "It's getting cloudy. Wait- there's more. 'This game is dedicated to the memory of Lynne Thigpen.' What could that mean?"
You thank her and continue on your way.
