Crystal Egg is a forgotten mine full of various pastel colored gemstones and minerals. Eggman taken to carving his likeness in the walls of the area, as this mine served at the entrance to Gimmick Mountain.
The mountain itself is a technological wonder. It looks and feels real on the outside, but within its rocky exterior is a hollowed out, metal lined shell. This mountain is actually a factory, powered by the Electric Egg construct.
The Scrambled Egg security system lies at the top of Gimmick Mountain, and keeps intruders out of Scrap Brain.
