Hall of Infinite Doors

An ethereal sound fills the air, lilting and dipping in a mystical way. You recognize it as a motet, possibly one of Palestrinas. As the haze clears you see light shining down through the stained glass windows of the Basillica. Somehow, against all odds, you found yourself here again.

You knew it would come to this didn't you? Best to be prepared for the trials you will face as you head through this den of nightmares and iniquity.

"God help me," you mutter as you feel the apprehension rise in your gullet. You proceed past the entrance, past the grinning gargoyles that leer daemonically from the worn granite arch. The altar rises before you, skulls capping either end of the crude basalt block. A rust colored paint seems to be flaking from it as you approach, then you nearly vomit as you realise... thats not paint!

Stairs seem to loom to your left and descend into the depths to right. They lead to the cells and workshops above and to the catacombs below. What eldritch horror awaits you?
