Is this place real?

The noise seems to be gone, and you walk up the stairs. They creak a little but you ignore it, hoping there is no immediate danger - taking a weapon was something you neglected. On the other hand, once you come upstairs, you feel the need for one less and less - everything is abandoned, with plenty of dust all over the place. It doesn't look too tidy, but there isn't anything strange with that - sure, two chairs have fallen over, the painting on the wall is hanging slanted, and the small cleaning-hole in the chimney is open, but there doesn't seem to be anything too strange going on. A knife on the table catches your attention but it doesn't seem to be in any way strange.

The layout of the house isn't hard to follow - there is a kitchen and a dining room downstairs, as well as a closet. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and what could be called a "common room" - that's where you are at the moment. There is a bookcase here, and a large table.
