Gripping his still bleeding arm tightly to try and stop the flow, Tails managed to drag himself back to his camp. He should've known better than to ignore such obvious traps.
Maybe he was too reliant on Sonic after all. Even when he was the hero all by himself, Sonic would still help out in the end. And back when they first met, Sonic always led the way, meaning that little Miles didn't have to worry about traps, as they were already sprung.
Enough self loathing! Tails scolded himself. I'm not going to let something as simple as spikes stop me! I won't go crying back to Sonic! Not after everything I've done!
After patching up his wound, Tails found himself wondering if that thing he saw on the ledge would stop anymore traps from being sprung.
Maybe he should investigate Bridge Zone instead? Chances are he'd find something there that might come in useful later here. That's how it worked before on Coco Island, when he fought the Battle Bird Armada.
