IWT5- The Sneeze
"Oh, Master," cooed Anna, trying to sound like her demon counterpart. "Yes, Master, he was easily subdued. As you guessed, my charm worked perfectly. Yes, I have the soul. ...What does it look like?" Anna looked desperately over at Rod, who had grown just as alarmed. "Of course, Master," she replied, biting her lip. "Why, it's...umm, clear. Yes, clear. It's very wispy and ghost looking, with...uhh, his face is imprinted in it. Yeah, and it's...a sphere, of course. Why, uhh...why do you ask?"
"Because I can sense your lies!" Jaik'nob's voice was suddenly amplified over the phone so that both could hear his voice. "I am coming for the both of you. Do not think you can escape my wrath!" The phone shut itself off as clouds of pepper began to fill the room.
"He's actually done it," Anna gasped, grabbing her sleeve and placing it over her mouth. "I didn't even think it was possible...it sounds so absurd...."
"What? What did he do, Anna?"
"Oh, Rod...he's filled the entire town with pepper. He's planning to sneeze the entire town into possession like he did with Jacob."
"And the whole lot of you will make a very impressive army, I assure you." Jaik'nob appeared before their eyes in a flash of hellfire. He appeared in the exact form they had seen before, with one exception. A paisley bandana was covering his nose and mouth.
"I can only guess you managed to save your friend with a double sneeze. Pity. It is a weakness that did not occur to me. No matter. I shall see to it that the two of you are taken care of."
"Oh yeah!?" screamed Rod, through the sleeve of his jacket. "Well, take care of this!" he rushed forward, slamming his bulk against Jaik'nob's body.
"Was that supposed to do anything?" he asked. Rod bounced harmlessly off his shoulder, and flew to the ground. Jaik'nob grabbed Rod by the collar, and freed his nose to the clouds of pepper. "Any last words?" he asked, as Rod sneezed in his face.
"Yeah," replied Anna. "Bless you." While Jaik'nob had been distracted by Rod, Anna had snuck behind him and taken his bandana. "Bless you, bless you, bless you!" she yelled, as both Jaik'nob and Rod sneezed furiously.
"Nooo! Aggh! Ahhh! Dude, what the hell!?" yelled Jacob, pulling himself off of the ground. "Rod, what the hell happened to your kitchen? Why is there pepper everywhere?"
"Jacob, you're back!" cried Anna, hugging him tightly.
"Of course I'm back. Did I leave?" he asked, bewildered. "Weren't we just at the gas station? Why are you holding my bandana?"
"It's good to have you back, dude," said Rod, placing his hand on Jacob's shoulder.
"What are you talking about?" he asked, gagging slightly as Anna rocked him back and forth in her choke hug.
"It's a long story," said Rod, laughing. "We'll explain as we work. C'mon, grab a broom, we've got to clean the house up."
