Experience Points are earned by defeating enemies and bosses, as well as from completing certain missions and various other methods.

Some abilities require you to have a previous version in order to upgrade it, while others can't be used if others are equiped. Remember to mix and match as you please until you find the right combination!

Set 1: Sonic and the Secret Rings:
Homing Attack --- Deliver an extra hit during first round of combat (Sonic Only)
Cost: 15exp

Homing Dash --- Deliever an extra hit after successfuly performing Homing Attack (Sonic Only)
Cost: 15exp

All Rounder --- Reduces terrain handicaps of a character by 2
Cost: 18exp

Fire Gaze --- Creates a field of fire that does +5 extra damage to enemy. Damage is double if enemy is weak to Fire Element.
Cost: 20exp

Turbo Boost --- Speed increased +2
Cost: 20exp

Ring Bonus --- Gain 5 extra Rings before combat is initiated. Cannot be combined with Power Restart or Ring Saver.
Cost: 22exp

Expert Attack --- +2exp gained for every successful Homing Attack. Must have Homing Attack ability equiped.
Cost: 25exp

Ring Saver --- Reduces number of Rings lost by 5. Cannot be combined with Power Restart or Ring Bonus.
Cost: 25exp

Rocket Boost --- Speed increased +4. Must have Turbo Boost. Cannot be combined with Turbo Boost.
Cost: 25exp

Power Restart --- If a life is lost, player restarts with 5 Rings. Cannot be combined with Ring Saver or Ring Bonus.
Cost: 24exp

Balance --- Allows Luck roll to determine if Status Effect attack is nulified.
Cost: 27exp

Warp Boost --- Speed increase +6. Must have Rocket Boost. Cannot be combined with Rocket Boost.
Cost: 35exp

Ring of Zero --- +3exp gained when Ring total reaches 0. Cannot be combined with other exp modifiers.
Cost: 50exp

Collection Present --- +5exp per every 100 Rings. Cannot be combined with other exp modifiers.
Cost: 60exp
