Death Note
"That sounds like an excellent idea Near" said Z. "No, it's not, it's a terrible idea. Near you don't need to get the eyes; now at least" said Kazuo. "Huh? But if I got the eyes we will find Kira" said Near. "Near, did L have the shinigami eyes" said Kazuo. "No, he didn't" said Near. "He found Kira though didn't he; with his intelligence" said Kazuo. "Yes, he did, I guess" said Near. "Don't you have any confidence in Z or me, Near. We'll catch Kira" said Kazuo. "hmm.. Kazuo you're right. Near we don't need the shinigami eyes; now at least" said Z. "We could keep your plan as a back up plan Near" said Kazuo. "But we could find Ki.." said Near. "No Near, Kazuo is right. What if you did find the eyes Near, There are over 8 billion people in the world; and we know the Death Note, Kira's power, can be moved between people. This means the chance of finding Kira, with the eyes would be roughly 1 to 8 billion, minus 2" interrupted Z.
"I didn't think of that Z, you're right; we'll find Kira with our minds, not with a shinigami's trick" said Near. "Heh! It's not a trick, it's real" said Ryuta. "Keh keh keh keh keh! You managed to get out of that like it was nothing Kazuo" said Ryuk. "OK, now that we've solved that; lets look through all of the rules of the Death Note" said Z. Kazuo started reading the report Z had given him. "This is no fun, if you know all the rules" said Ryuk. Several hours later, they had all finished going through all the rules of the Death Note and the rules of the shinigami.
"Kazuo, I want you to continue going to work as normal; but work on the Kira case. I have already informed Hanako, so it won't be a problem, however she doesn't know what you're working on, so don't give that information to anyone" said Z. "Alright, I understand" said Kazuo. "Good, I also have an investigation team, there in the other room right now. They have already read that report before so there was no need to bring them in before" said Z. "I'll go get them now" said Near, walking out the door. "Kazuo, here take this; it'll allow you to contact me" said Z, handing Kazuo a PDA.
Near returned followed by 5 people. "Kazuo this is my investigation team" said Z. "I see, it's good we have help then" said Kazuo. "Alright everyone it's safe so you can all introduce yourselves" said Near. "Mikami Tomoko" said Tomoko. "Tanaka Yamahiko" said Yamahiko. "Yamada Ai" said Ai. "Ipongi Wataru" said Wataru. "Yamato Sagara" said Sagara. "It's nice to meet you all, I'm Solius Kazuo" said Kazuo. "Good, now that you've met everyone; Near give out the belts" said Z. Near handed each of them a belt. "This is very similar to the belts L gave to his investigation team. They will tell me where you are and in case of an emergency press the buckle twice, that will send a message to Near with your name and he'll call you back. These are upgraded from the ones L used, however, the battery lasts much longer and I can get satellite images of where you are as well in case you're being followed, the GPS is more advanced as well giving your exact location to the nearest 100th of a millimetre" said Z. "That sounds really cool Z" said Ai, as she looked closer at the belt. "Yes it is" said Z.
"Alright we're finished for the day so you can all leave now; remember don't give out your real name, investigation team you have to use those fake police Ids I gave you before. That reminds me, I almost forgot to give you your one Kazuo" said Z, handing a fake police ID to Kazuo. "Rue Ryuzaki?" said Kazuo. "Yes, I'm not that great at making names, but that is entered into the police database, so even though it's not real, it can be used as a real ID, without any problems" said Z. "I see" said Kazuo, Ryuk was laughing.
Kazuo left the building and walked towards the station. "Why were you laughing so much whenever I talked to Z, Ryuk?" asked Kazuo, as he got on the train. "Keh keh keh keh keh! You do have the eyes" said Ryuk. "His name? what's so strange about his name, he said it was Zilos, and when I used the eyes it said 'Zilos Keehl'. He gave me the right name so there's no problem Ryuk" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! You'll see later then" said Ryuk. "Well I'll have to kill them all, but not yet; now is not the right time to kill them" said Kazuo.
The next day Kazuo arrived at work late. "I'm sorry I'm late!!" said Kazuo, as he ran into the door of the small office. "Huh, you're not late Kazuo" said Hanako. "I'm not?" said Kazuo. "Yeh, the time I told you to be here was 20 minutes before I wanted you to be here, that way you'd get here on time" said Hanako. "I see" said Kazuo sitting down at his desk. "So what are you working on for Z?" asked Hanako. "I can't tell you" said Kazuo. "Hmm.. I'll find out eventually Kazuo" said Hanako. "Keh keh keh keh keh! Work isn't as boring as I thought it would be" said Ryuk. "I rolled a 6 on the red die, a 5 on the white die and a 2 on the green die; so that's 625 today, good thing I hid the Death Note amongst the case file from Z" though Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! I see you hid the Death Note amongst your papers Kazuo" said Ryuk.
