Kazuo looked down at his watch "1pm I can still get to work, if my luck changes" he thought as he walked out of the store. Kazuo noticed Ryuk was flying behind him as he crossed the road, "Why are you following me Ryuk?" he asked, "The shinigami who haunts the notebook has to follow the notebook until they can reclaim it" replied Ryuk, looking at the bus crash. "Keh keh keh keh keh! That was fun!" he said. "The bus crash was fun? and what if someone sees you?" said Kazuo. "What's with all the questions? Do I win a prize if I answer right? Keh keh keh keh keh!" said Ryuk, Kazuo looked worried about anyone seeing him with Ryuk. "Only people who have touched that Death Note can see or hear me. Everyone will see you talking to yourself and think you're crazy. Keh keh keh keh keh!" said Ryuk.
Kazuo got to the train station just in time to see the train get to the station, "finally my luck changes for the better" he said. "Keh keh keh keh keh! Don't expect it to last, people who are followed by a shinigami are also followed by misfortune" said Ryuk. "Great something to make my luck even worse than usual" said Kazuo as he walked into the train. "Keh keh keh keh keh! You're really positive, aren't you?" said Ryuk as Kazuo found a seat and sat down. The train left the station. "So where are we going Kazuo?" asked Ryuk. "We're going to where I work Ryuk" replied Kazuo. "Work? This is going to be boring" said Ryuk who had just started looking out the window. "Tree, tree, tree, bus, car, car, station" said Ryuk mentioning anything he saw out the window. "Ryuk be quiet I have to read this for my job and you're annoying me" said Kazuo, reading a book.
"You're book is boring Kazuo" said Ryuk. Kazuo continued reading his book ignoring Ryuk. Ryuk put his head through the book "Kazuo what is this book about?" said Ryuk, who was obviously bored. "It's about law Ryuk, I'm a prosecutor or was. How did the Death Note get here anyway?" said Kazuo. "I was bored, so I dropped it. Didn't I say that before?" said Ryuk. "So you dropping this Death Note is what's made me so late for my first case." said Kazuo, who looked annoyed. "I guess so, is that bad?" said Ryuk. "I was late too much before for the practice trails, but I managed to talk my boss into giving me another chance" said Kazuo. "Keh keh keh keh keh! So I could have made you lose a job. Work is boring anyway, you should be thanking me." said Ryuk as the train stopped at another station, Kazuo got off the train. "So now we go to your boring job?" said Ryuk, who sounded disapointed. "Yes, but we have to hurry" said Kazuo running out of the station and down the street. "Keh keh keh keh keh! This job might not be as boring as I thought" said Ryuk flying behind Kazuo. "If I keep running this speed.." said Kazuo, interrupted by his phone. "Hello?" said Kazuo answering the phone "Yes, but.. Ok then.." he said to the person on the phone. "Hmm what is it Kazuo?" said Ryuk. "I just lost my job." said Kazuo sadly. "Keh keh keh! Really? That's too bad, but now we can have fun instead" said Ryuk happily. "No Ryuk, now I have to empty out my desk into a cardboard box then take it home on the train" replied Kazuo, "You're right Ryuk, people who are followed by a shinigami are also followed by misfortune" said Kazuo, Ryuk laughed.
