Kingdom Stance

Your hold your pack closely to your body to increase your speed and lower the noise that you anticipate it making, and you run as quickly as you can away from their intended path.

You've gone only a few yards, when your grip on your pack grows weak and careless, allowing but a few clinks together of the glass bottles and flasks it contains. You look back, aghast, at the brigands only to find that they are all looking directly at you like hounds that have picked up a scent.

"It's a young tart, Judas!" cries one.
"Yeah, what'll we do, Judas?" asks another, anxiously.
"Get her," Judas says, with a cold, vicious stare.

You really didn't need to hear that to start running as fast as your legs will carry you. Your city is at least 2 or 3 furlongs from here, but you think that if you can at least clear the forest, perhaps the city guards will take notice of your plight from the towers and hail a few arrows on these thieves.

You've run but a little bit when you can see the edge of the forest up ahead. However, the brigands are closing in quickly, and your pack of items you could never allow to be lost or stolen is bulky and slowing your run.

What will you do?
