The arrows fly the shortened distance swiftly, killing a very great portion of the second wave of Accadians. However, the secret assault team led by John the Paladin is also hit by the arrows, which are far too close. A few of the men fall mortally wounded, and John himself is struck in the back of his right shoulder. This has incapacitated his sword arm, and he is now being dragged backward from the fracas. Your archer chief looks at you with disgust.
Though the second wave has been severely damaged, they still outnumber the remaining forces of the assault team, who are now demoralized at the loss of their Paladin leader.
