Life After Life
"Well then, you will have to go and find them," the young voice told me and a path appeared to my right.
"I could have done that on my own, couldn't I?" I really didn't see why they'd asked if they were just going to send me on my way.
"Of course," the motherly voice assured me, "but you will find your soulmate on this path. They definitely lay in that direction." I sighed and shook my head. It wasn't that big of a surprise anyhow. In death just like life everything seemed to be completely up to you. I mean, what kind of help was a path?
"Great, thanks." I started along the path.
"Good luck Adrian," the old woman's voice echoed, "we'll be watching your progress. If you ever need us just call."
"Call what?" I asked, but there was no answer. I mean what was I supposed to call, 'hey crazy ladies' or something?
The path wound into a valley filled with trees, lush grass and mist. Below I saw a small town.
