Hall of Infinite Doors

You decide to wait and see what happens. Nikky ambles up to the door and rings the bell. Then she knocks. Nothing happens. You take some chips from a bag sitting in the passenger seat and munch on them. After a few minutes she returns to her vehicle and waits. A few more minutes pass and a white Lincoln pulls up in front of the house. Out steps the white haired man, who promptly hails her and then guides her into his house.

You are considering your next move when a second person--more balding and portly than the first--opens the back door to the Lincoln and steps out. He must have been laying down in the back seat as you did not see his sillouette in the window.

The second man walks over to Nikky's BMW and up along it's passenger side. He then bends down near the front passenger tire for at least 30 seconds. Then he walks back to the Lincoln and lays down in the back seat. You are, to say the least, perplexed.

Twillight comes. You finish the chips.

Nikky comes out, starts her car and drives off. You follow cautiously. As you drive a police car comes up the road in the opposite direction. It's lights aren't on, but it looks the the cop is in a hurry.

Nikky is now driving through a park, with grassy lawns, trees and benches on both sides. It's the quickest way home, but not well lit. Just then she pulls off to the side of the road and stops. She turns off her car and lights, walks around in her high heels to the front right tire and looks down. In the fading twillight, it looks like her tire is flat.
