Assault of the Sorcerer Kings

The Wizard

Azoun Duchet was a mage of considerable talent who trained under the great Delta Sigante. Duchet was a promising pupil who excelled in Evocation, Aleration, and harnessing the elements of nature.

Duchet's power grew immensly in a relatively short amount of time. Raw talent to such a degree, accompanied with excelled learning, can be a great thing if properly harnessed. But Duchet became arrogant and cruel to the people he referred to as "commoners" and it was rumored that after leaving Sigante's pupilage he took an interest in the dark arts.

Azoun was an avid pupil until he felt he had learned all he could from his teacher and then he promptly left. He had kept a low profile after his departure from Sigante's teachings and did not return until the archmage himself summoned him to discuss the prophecy and Duchet's potential role in stopping the rise of the Sorcerer Kings.

To Delta, Duchet's arrival to the summoning spoke volumes of the young wizards loyalty. But only time and experience can truly reveal what lies beneath the surface of the headstrong mage.
