"Yeah, everything's fine," I mumble. Even a toddler would be able to tell that I'm lying.
Sara frown's in dismay. "It's okay, if you don't want to work with me, I'll ask Mr. Dewfas to assign me somewhere else." She get's up and walks away.
"Wait!" I shout gettting up to run after her.
"Oh, don't worry about me! I'll be fine!" Sara is all smiles now. I sigh and sit back down, clutching me head in my hands.
Sara and Amanda seem so different, but maybe they are actually quite similar in many ways. It's just that Sara hides behind a wall of niceness, while Amanda hides behind a wall of meaness... but maybe they are both just scared of ever showing their true feelings because they don't want to get hurt.
Hmm.. that's a lot to ponder. But I have lots of time, because I never meet another girl for many years. Hopefully by then I'll understand them better... but that's a different story. For now, this is... THE END
