Gundam Wing - It never ends.
~*~DISCLAIMER~*~
I do NOT (unfortunately) own Gundam Wing. Nor do I own you. However, I do own the idea of this fanfic, and I own the characters that I create for this story.
The above applies to the entire story. (I'm saying this because I'm lazy and don't feel like putting it every single time I add on to the story.)
The unusually warm night has just begun, and you're making your way through the crowded streets of Chinatown. Everywhere, paper lanterns hang, lighting up the streets for the festival. It isn't long before you catch sight of your friends, all of whom you consider to be family.
"(Your Name)!" Myranda calls out to you and waves when she sees you.
"Hey Myr!" you answer, using the nickname she preferred to go by. You jog up to her, Dani, and Keri. "Sorry I'm a little late, guys."
"Hey, it's cool," Dani says. "Sifu's not even here yet."
"I wonder where he is," Keri adds. "It's not like him to be late."
"Don't worry," you answer, partly in an attempt to quell your own worry. "I'm sure he's fine. He's probably having trouble finding parking."
The others nod, and Myr changes the subject. "You ready for the demo tonight?"
"Of course!" you answer, grinning. "And with these outfits, we'll look great too!"
The four of you are wearing the same outfits. The base of the outfit is a simple pair of black kung fu pants. Your tops are also black with slim, orange edges. The top covers your neck and is sleeveles. It reaches to the middle of your shins, with slits up the sides to the top of your hips. The material converges somewhat as it descends past your hips, but is never smaller than half a foot in width. The back of the shirt is adorned with a sort of Yin-Yang image. To be precise, it is a green dragon and an orange tiger chasing one another. Finally, on your feet are flexible, slim-fitting, black slippers. The only difference between your outfits is the sash that each of you are wearing around your waist. Dani's is red, Keri's and Myranda's are blue, and yours is black.
"Hey, let me pull your hair back for you," Keri says as she steps up behind you and starts to do so. You don't mind though. In fact, you're used to her not waiting for approval. In no time, your hair is braided back, and fairly tightly so that no loose ends get in your face during your performance.
Immediately after, as if planned, Sifu(AN: Sifu means teacher, for those who don't know.) Huan strides over to the four of you. "Are you girls ready?" he asks, and all of you nod in response. "Good. You're on in five." Again, the four of you nod, and all of you head over to where you are about to perform.
You and Myranda are partnered up, and Keri and Dani are together. After a long while of exchanging kicks and punches, demonstrating different controlling techniques, and showing off throws and recoveries, light rain starts to fall. At least you're about finished with the demonstration.
The four of you stand shoulder to shoulder in a circle facing outward, and bow, formally displaying the symbol of the sun and moon with your right palms against your left fists, and make your way back into the celebrating crowd.
Unfortunately, the rain becomes heavier quickly, and starts to douse the flames of the paper lanterns. Normally, things like this didn't bother you, but this time around, something feels out of place.
You're drawn from your thoughts as your friends start to pull you away from your spot, in search of someplace to stay dry. "Right. Coming," you mumble, shaking your head as you land back in reality.
"You okay, (Y/N)?" Myr asks, sounding a little concerned.
"Hm? Oh, yeah. Just had a weird feeling, is all," you answer.
Myranda nods, accepting what you said, though not quite understanding the real meaning behind it. "Alright, well let's get somewhere warm."
"Yes, let's," Sifu Huan says, nearly scaring the living daylights out of you, since you didn't notice him come up behind the four of you.
Finally, after what seemed like forever, but was only five minutes of searching, you find a restaurant that can still manage to seat some people. Unfortunately, there's only a table for four left, but there is an empty chair nearby that you could pull up.
