Hall of Infinite Doors

"I am not a god!" you explain.

"But you fell from Asgard." one of the warriors said.

"No I didn't."

"Oh." the warriors think for a moment, then one of them says, "You were trying to decieve us!"

"No I wasn't, Sigord just twisted my words." you suddenly grow afraid. The warriors seem to be a very proud people and those that trick them most likely end up dead. The men start to edge towards you, but Sigord stands in their way.

"If he says he is no god, then he is not trying to fool us." Sigord then turns and looks at you.

"Head south, boy." The warrior points in the exact opposite direction of the mountains. "Head south and you will find a great chasm. Walk along its edge until you find a stone bridge. Continue south and pass through the forests of Morgrin and Ashner. When my people find you, for they surely will, tell them that Sigord sent you. Then they may not kill you."

"Ummm... and I suppose it will be safer there?" you ask.

"Yes, but be wary, lad," Sigord leans close, "Many dangers lie along the road."

Before you can say anything more, the great warrior runs over to the others and they head off towards the mountains.

"Oh!" Sigord turns around and takes out a short sword. "Take this," he tosses the weapon towards you and it lands before your feet, "You'll need it."

You see Sigord's face for the last time before he turns around and catches up with the other armoured men.

Many hours pass before the beast strikes. It snakes through the bones just below you. You see it but the gigantic leech thing believes it's still hidden from you.
