Steve3: Twilight of the Chosen

The main street leading into Hayward, California was completely empty except for the large blockade of police cars. Yellow light from the street lamps above bathed the battered looking officers who stood behind the various emergency vehicles. Intertwined between the officers stood armed citizens. They all waited anxiously with their weapons drawn. Officer Lee Marcotte slumped against a van between two local gang members he vaguely remembered arresting some time before all this crazy hell stuff broke loose and started attacking the Earth. "Lame." He said to himself as he shifted the wait of his shotgun. "Whadu say homes?" the gangster next to him responded. "Shut the hell up Ben, and your holding that gun wrong, Nick" The two gangsters moved to say something but were interrupted by the Hayward Police Captain Charles Tucker. "All right people, gear up, those damn demon bastards have broken through Oakland and were all that's left now, keep your heads low and conserve your ammo. Let those mother F---er's know what Hayward's all about!"

Santa Cruise- Night had fallen around the docked SPOT at the UCSC Highly Nude Evil Defense Force Headquarters. Inside the command center of the SPOT Steve, Jourdan, Dusty, Robbie, Adam, and Scott all sat around a large table. Jess stood before the table in front of them, "And finally as you can see, although the Gabok has been disabled and cannot move, the demon and Canadian forces continue their assault along this horizontal line across the entire United States. So far a combination of local police, military, Mormon, and citizen resistance has been only able to slow the pace of the invasion. The only question remaining is why they choose to keep the remains of their clone corolla army around the Gabok and not deployed out into the field." Steve stood up. "It's because they know were coming back, with a bigger army, and were going to take out their ship." Jourdan "Indeed, by the gods we will, Adam, how are our troops looking?" Adam stood nervously "Uh, well, we lost a lot of people, and about half our corollas, but with the replenishments here in Santa Cruise combined with what's left, we are looking all right, we just need time to rest."

"INCOMING" someone shouted shortly before the car next to Officer Marcotte blew up into a flaming ball of gas and metal. "CRAP, MOVE" Lee yelled as he dove to the side. A demon swung back around in the sky and looked directly at him. "Oh hell no, you don't get to look at me like that." The demon dove right for Lee who pulled his shotgun up just in time blow it out of the air. Lee turned as he re cocked his shotgun and took out another demon. He did the same twice more as he ran beneath the relative cover of a burning building. As he began refilling his shotgun he swore he heard a noise. "Help" a small female voice came from within the exposed living room. "What the hell, I though we got all the civs out of here." He finished reloading his shotgun and began inching inward in what used to be a living room toward what looked to be a door to a young girl's room. He could here her crying now. "Aw damn it". The cop nudged the door open. Inside there was indeed a young girl who couldn't be older then ten. She looked up at him, "Are you a police man" she asked with a shaky voice. "I suppose I am." "Are you gonna make the bad demons go away?" He looked at the young girl for a moment. She looked back at him. "What's your name" "Heather" "You bet I will, just as soon as I get you somewhere safe, Heather."

Jourdan looked back to the table "Allright, so the SPOT stays here to regroup and refill. Steve, you and your team, including myself go into this "Hayward" to retrieve Hector, Dusty, will you be joining us?" Dusty perked up from looking at one of the various video screens around the command center (the one showing Derek Bradshaw laying in a hospital bed seemed to have his attention) to speak "Nahb tanks mon, bud I god to go gid de Z." Robbie looked at him confusedly. "How do you know where it is dude?" "Heb, Dereg hided id in de one place hed knewb ah cud find id" "Where is that?" "Mahgaritavill, imb goin bag to gid da Z" The table was silent. Jourdan spoke up "All right people, let's move!"
