Xeresgate

The temptation of getting to have a peek at the rumored splendor of Yorlindria is more than you can resist at present. However, due to the thick crowd of people moving from Arregret Pass and from, well... wherever, you are forced to take your journey slightly north of the broad western path. You try to stay just far enough away from the path so no bothersome child tugs at his mother's apronstrings, wondering why the grass parts with no one there.

You've been following the path for quite some time when dusk has overtaken you and night has already settled. The populace of the path has thinned a little, but the prudent ones that remain light lamps and torches to maintain their correct path and possibly frighten away any carnivorous night creatures.

You've never been this far away from Xeresgate before, and truthfully, you don't know what to expect of the countryside fauna. It could be dangerous; it could be harmless. Nevertheless, you begin eyeing the path ever more covetously, as the few stars visible in the sky are barely enough light to keep you from tripping over your own feet.

What will you do?
