Hall of Infinite Doors
You go into the kitchen.
"Sonya. I really have to use your bathroom, and I know that Ash is using the one downstairs. Is there another one I could use?"
"Um, sure," says Sonya, smiling sweetly, "the master bedroom has one. Up the stairs on the right."
You go up the stairs and find the master bathroom. You turn on the light and fan and shut the door so that it looks like it's being used. Then you walk steathily over to the row of windows overlooking the porch. After opening one, you creep outside onto the shingled roof of the porch.
It's still pouring out, and you're getting soaked. Oh well.
You walk to the edge of the roof and let yourself down onto the porch itself.
The first thing you notice is that there is a big muddy spot where you left your shoes--but no shoes. The second thing you notice is that the BMW has a flat rear tire.
You peak in the window. Ashley is modelling the little black dress for Jenny. She makes out the words "Will it work?" and looks at her with bright blue eyes.
