The Curse of the Towne Motel

You get in the passenger side of Clive's car as he enters behind the wheel. He drives the car up the hill towards the motel. He doesn't speak a word. He only stares at the road in front of him contemplating the next turn of the road beyond the fog that blocks most of his view. The radio plays what sounds like elevator music, but not a happy music. It's a very solemn sound. Like something from The Phantom of The Opera. You find it weird that his radio gets clear reception, but your "top of the line" Bose speakers received nothing but static. After parking the car, Clive insists on opening your door. When you get inside the motel you notice the antique design of the place. Candles lit the chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. Mirrors and paintings posted all along the walls of what seemed to be the main lobby. A small reception desk sat off to the far side of the room.
