Pick Your Poison 2 (Drugs)
You try to walk into the office, but the football players grab you by the shirt again. "Please, guys," you beg. "I just want to see if she's OK." The brutes exchange skeptical looks, and then one of them says, "Alright. But we're going with you. The last thing we need is for you to cause anymore damage." "Thanks," you manage as they release you. You stumble into the office and kneel down by your girl. "What did I do?" you think. "All she was trying to do was keep this from happening to someone else, and she was right. Man, that 'someone else' probably would have been me, too. And look what I did to her. I'm such an idiot!" You quickly brush away a tear that was forming in your eye. You feel so bad, you could have killed her. You could be a murderer right now. "What was I thinking?" you say out loud. "I don't know, son," a deep voice bellows from the office doors. You turn around to see that it's your father, standing just inside the office. Your dad! "Mom only sends in Dad for really bad stuff," you think. "I'm in trouble." "You're in a lot of trouble son," your father says, as if he could read your thoughts. "C'mon," he continues. "Let's go. The paramedics need to see her." PARAMEDICS?!? Yeah, you're in trouble. And, your mom will never let you go to a party ever again! "Oh, well," you think. "I deserve every bit of punishment I get. I messed up...big time." On the car ride home, your dad explains to you that, "You are grounded for the next six months...except for your visits to the hospital to see that girl you hurt. You will be visiting her every day until she is well again. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor hail, nor dark of night shall keep you from going up to that hospital every single day." YOu don't mind the hospital visits. It's not the freshest smelling building in the world, but at leats you'll get to make sure that your girlfriend's OK. YOu did hurt her. You hurt everybody tonight. Your girlfriend, your parents, yourself, and GOD. You messed up. You made so many wrong choices. You know that your mom probably won't let you go to anymore parties for a while, but when you get the chance, you hop e to have the wisdom to do the RIGHT thing.
