Pitch Black

You unlatch the window and try to open it, but it refuses to budge. You look around the room for something to break it with, but find nothing. You want out, however, and kick at the glass until it shatters.

Upon leaning out the window you find yourself over a rusted fire escape, at least fifteen stories up. The building looks like it's made out of brick, and there is a narrow street or alleyway below. There are more buildings, and you can't see the sun anywhere, but it looks as if it may be evening.
