Pitch Black

You reach for ht doorknob and find that it's warm. Upon entering the room you find a large fire burning in an ornate, brick fireplace. It's odd that it was left unattended. A large, red armchair is seated directly in front of the fire and several plush couches are seated around the room. The fire is keeping the room uncomfortably warm.

There is a book on a table that catches your eye and a large, ornately framed mirror across one wall.
