"This is The Apparition, painted by Gustave Moreau in 1874-76. That's not Jesus's head floating there, but John the Baptist. I like the rays of light coming out of his head, as is common with religious figures in christian paintings. Quite strange though, a floating head. I like Gustave's paintings because they look really detailed even though a lot of the time it's just the illusion of detail"
