She stroked his hair as she held him, trying to keep the feeling of comfort as the only thing in his brain. Each pat and touch kept that feeling there, she refused to let it fade away.
"I know it hurts Pet, but I've got you. Let your owner take care of you now"
She started tidying his hair up, after lying on the floor for so long it was sort of all over the place. She pushed it around gently until everything was facing the right direction. Not having to do anything but lie against her as she played with his hair made him feel weirdly cared for. Though he was numb and aching so bad, her words and touch were comforting in a way. He only felt her embrace, and not that they were the arms of the person who put him through all of it in the first place. He hadn't made a noise or moved at all since she took the bands and cuffs off him, she wasn't sure if having him so close was actually making him feel any better.
