He turned his head to see Rennala sitting on the couch just behind him.
"Heya Pet, what's on?"
"Uhh. They are testing to see if Chinese water torture works..."
"And does it?"
"Not sure, we'll see..."
He wasn't sure how he was supposed to feel about having light conversation with her. She was acting as if this was totally normal, and that she wasn't holding him against his will with restraints and blackmail. He tried not to say anything that would provoke her, but she spoke instead.
"I always thought that Jamie's hat was funny"
"I suppose, I always wonder how it stays on..."
Maybe if he talked to her, he'd be able to convince her to let him go. He tried to think of something to ask her.
