Doors and More Doors

The shallow layer of acid immediately melts your shoes as soon as your foot touches it. In pain, you fall to the ground, just to be met with even more acid to your left and right. You're overwhelmed. It melts you down to your bones and, after a bit, it departs from you, flooding to a different section of the pool, and thus leaving your bones on display for the next traveler who is foolish enough to come to such a landmark.
