Everything Went Dark
Tatum smiled. Of course she'd down a shot with her friends. That sounded like a ton of fun, even though the circumstances certainly weren't fun. Tatum picked her glass up and held it out. "Cheers?" Her voice sounded hesitant, but Jordan didn't notice. Or maybe she did, and just didn't care. At this point, why even try to care? There were literally three bodies one door away and in the next room, another friend's splattered remains sat. Jordan lifted her glass up as well, making it clink Tatum's glass,"Cheers." They both closed their eyes and when they opened their eyes again, both of their glasses had been emptied.
Tatum opened her eyes first. She set her shot glass down and watched Jordan. Her knees were looking wobbly. Tatum rushed to Jordan's side and slung Jordan's arm over her shoulders to help her stand. Jordan kept her eyes closed. Tatum led Jordan out of the kitchen and into the dining hall. She gently lowered Jordan into a chair and pulled one up next to her. Tatum made sure to face the chairs to where Emma's bloody remains were. Jordan hadn't opened her eyes yet. Her breathing had turned into a labored, and shaky kind of breathing. Tatum didn't say anything. She just reached out and held onto Jordan's hand. It only took a few more minutes for Jordan's shaky breaths to stop.
Tatum stayed and continued to hold onto Jordan's hand. Tatum didn't plan any of this. But when she saw Jordan pull out a bottle of bright blue laundry detergent, Tatum knew that she was never going to drink it. In fact, she was a little surprised when Jordan drank it. Tatum had assumed that Jordan would try to trick her into drinking it. But Tatum was wrong. Eventually, she let go of Jordan's hand, which did take some work because Tatum had to carefully pry Jordan's fingers off of her own. Tatum didn't hesitant leaving the dining hall.
"So what now?" She asked. Tatum was hoping The Radio would respond. But the staticky voice never did. Tatum sighed. She decided to go back to her dorm. As she was walking, Tatum noticed that the entry hall was light up brightly. As if a door was open. Tatum decided to...
