Everything Went Dark
Elliana made a beeline for literally any other direction. She didn't care about the little noise that was being made as she ran out of range of the tree's crunchy leaves. She should have cared, though. After Jordan was dealt with and silenced, the spider demon charged after her. Elliana found herself cornered between a high cliff that led to a large body of water and a demonic alien set on killing her.
She determined that no matter what happened, she would die today. Elliana didn't want to give this creature the satisfaction of killing her. So she jumped off the cliff. She tumbled down the rocky hill and felt the sharp rocks cut her skin open. The alien had surprisingly followed her down. Because it was much heavier, it bounced down the hill and over Elliana. It landed in the water and began to thrash around. Elliana fell in a few seconds after it. She assumed that she would die on impact, but she was wrong. She was continually forced underwater by the spider creature's flailing limbs. Elliana's throat burned. She wished for air. But she didn't get any more. Elliana watched her final air bubbles float to the surface. Everything went dark.
