Everything Went Dark

Since Jordan was running very low on time, she only had time to help one person out of their hiding spot. Jennan had the easiest way to get out, so Jordan decided to help Elliana. She sprinted back into the kitchen and noticed that the door of the fridge was closed. Probably a precaution to make sure she stayed hidden and silent. It took some work but Jordan pried the fridge door open. Turns out the door had slammed shut on it's own and Elliana couldn't open it from the inside. So good thing Jordan saved Elliana. After helping her get out of the fridge, Jordan handed Elliana the extra gun and some of the rounds she had in her pocket. All of the ruckus from the gunshots and murder unsurprisingly alerted another one of the aliens.

They heard it crash through another window upstairs. They needed to get out of this house. As they began to creep towards the back door, which Elliana pointed out after climbing out of the fridge, Jennan began to slowly move out from under the table. Two loud screams made all three of them jump. There were more people upstairs who somehow survived the second alien attack. Now was the time to move. Elliana and Jordan moved a little faster, keeping their eye on Jennan. She had to move quickly yet quietly, bumping the table would make so much noise because of the amount of debris on the table.

An inhumane shriek made the three pause and wince because of the terrible sound. The shriek was followed by a loud splintering sound up above them all. Taking the opportunity, Elliana and Jordan practically sprinted to the back door. They assumed that Jennan was right behind them. But, they were wrong. Jennan had figured out that the splintering sound was right above her and there was a chance something could fall on her. Jennan was right. The ceiling was collapsing.

The shriek was from one of the aliens who had jumped onto a fragile part of the floor upstairs. Which happened to be directly above Jennan and the table she was hiding under. The alien could sense that the upstairs floor was going to collapse and tried to move which resulted in the ceiling finally falling. The spider demon had fallen on top of the debris that was now covering the table. Elliana covered her mouth with her hands and Jordan readied her gun.

Jennan's muffled scream was heard from under the pile of splintered wood and whatever else ceilings were made of. She must've been hit or impaled or stabbed by something. The sound of the ceiling falling alerted the other, previously unconscious, alien on the staircase. It knocked the door off its hinges to get into the room. The spider alien that was on the pile shook some debris off of itself and stabbed an appendage through the table. The other creature pushed some debris out of the way to get to Jennan.

Elliana slowly stretched her hand out to the door handle, they needed to get out now. There was no saving Jennan now. When Elliana's hand wrapped around the handle and she turned it painstakingly slow. Jordan kept an eye on both Elliana and the creatures. Jennan's screams grew louder as the creatures got to her. A bit of her arm landed near Jordan, who gasped at the sight. She could hear Jennan still, but one of the creatures still heard her gasp. It crawled towards the two and paused, hovering right next to them. Elliana had stopped moving the door handle in fear of making a sound. A few more seconds went by antogizingly long. Jennan had stopped screaming. The other creature crawled over next to the other one.

A fire alarm from someone's house across the street went off. The creatures shrieked in anger and jumped out of the kitchen windows. Elliana and Jordan took the opportunity and ran.
