Everything Went Dark
To avoid being seen, Jack dashed behind a house and stayed in the shadows. He tried to run at a steady pace, but it was difficult when the townsfolk started to wake up and start their day. At first, Jack thought that there was a chance the town would be small but then he remembered that the Horsemen's castle was fully booked out from Maple Puckians. This place was probably packed. He heard a rustle behind him, but ignored it.
Jack continued to move forwards. Suddenly, a huge heavy thing pounced on his back, knocking Jack over. It was a big dog. A nice dog perhaps? Jack reached out to pet the dog when it chomped down on his hand. Jack was trying to stay quiet in case there were people in earshot. So he didn't scream. The dog clawed at him and bit him over and over. Such an anticlimactic and tragic way to go, don't you think? It's a little funny, though. Jack felt really woozy, his body hurt. Everything went dark.
