Everything Went Dark
Quiet Creek wasn't a city within Mother Russia, it was a body of water. But names can be deceiving. And Jack found that out the hard way. He tripped over his feet trying to stop running before falling into the rapidly moving water. Quiet Creek was a huge river that was known for it's dangerous and deep waters. And it's one of the main fresh water systems in Mother Russia. Whenever someone does drown or a body gets thrown in it (it happens more often than you would expect), the water just tastes a tad more metallic then water should taste.
The Mother Russians would have metallic water tonight.
When Jack fell in, he crashed into a large rock that was in the middle of the river. Jack got the breath knocked out of him, and as the current swept him away, he could see a bloody mark on the rock from where he landed. He struggled to stay above the water. Jack was feeling woozy and light headed. He slipped under the water and somehow managed to grab onto another rock. He used all of his strength to pull himself onto the rock. It was nice to breath air again. However, the water was too strong and pushed him off the rock, forcing him back under. Jack never resurfaced. He didn't have the strength to. Everything went dark.
