Everything Went Dark
All of the sudden, metal constraints came out of the floor and wrapped themselves around everyone's legs so they couldn't move. One person's podium shot up and towered above everyone else. It was crazy how tall the gym was. The legit physical Radio had disappeared somewhere. Emma started hyperventilating and didn't seem to hear The Radio surprisingly responded to her. There was a moment of silence, though. Would their friend actually push the button?
The wait was agonizing-
The button was pressed.
But nothing happened?
Oh nevermind, loud fizzing and crackling sounds filled the air. The stench of something foul burning caused some people to gag. Jennan tried to move out of the metal constraints, but couldn't. Even though everyone was freaking out, nothing bad had actually happened to them. Then the metal constraints were loosened!! Metal ladders and objects that resembled something you would see at a parkour competition were lined up on the walls.
The original panic had subsided and the group began to celebrate! Their friend who had pushed the button must've saved them!! The beginning points to the metal parkour set varied in different locations, so, Jennan and a few others began to climb them while the remaining two went to try to open the gym doors. That was a huge mistake. The doors were locked, but they were easily opened nonetheless.
As soon as the doors were even cracked open, a flood of water began to fill the room. Well, that's what people thought. The two near the door backed away, only getting a few drops on them as they also started to climb the metal ladders and such. It took a few seconds to do anything, but the water began to dissolve the door as more flooded in. The drops that had landed on the two who opened the doors had dissolved small holes in their clothes. The panic had nearly doubled this time.
The students began to frantically climb across and hop onto the platforms. Someone slipped, hit their head on one of the metal ladders, and fell in. Everyone stopped to watch what would happen. Nothing did for a moment. They didn't resurface though, because of the head trauma. And then they started to dissolve. Imagine how painful it would be to drown. Now imagine how painful it would be to get third-degree burns literally everywhere. Now combine those together, that's basically what it would feel like to drown in acid.
The friends began to tap into their primal, every-man-for-themselves instincts. Two of them that happened to be on the same platform began to fight over who will go on the ladder next. They both ended up falling into the acid, that was starting to rise much quicker than what would be fair. Jennan was at a point where she would have to jump to reach the next platform. If she missed she would fall. Screams from people in the acid hurt her ears but she tried to ignore them. She heard someone else join the screams as the acid caught up to them, it was starting to burn their ankles.
Jennan looked around and decided that if she was going to jump, now would be the time. She backed up a bit and sprinted off the platform. She tried her hardest to jump to the platform, yet it seemed to move out of her reach. Thankfully, there was another platform beneath her. As she was falling, Jennan attempted to grab onto it. She ended up landing on it. Turns out, Emma was following her and had jumped as well. She wasn't as lucky. She slammed into the platform and slipped off, taking Jennan with her accidentally. Jennan continued to fall, but Emma was slammed into another platform. She was knocked unconscious before falling in. Lucky her. Jennan wished she was unconscious as the acid began to burn. She had an idea that she thought would be effective. She took a gulp of the water to try to destroy her organs before any more pain occurred. But it made the pain worse. Jennan was drowning in acid with dying organs. Isn't that fun? After a few more torturous moments of absolute pain, everything went dark..
