He said that he'd let you off this once. But if he ever catches you out partying like that again he'll do a lot worse to you. And so will I. I certainly hope you've learned your lesson." On the ride home it's your mother's last couple sentences that puzzle you. You definetley learn that even the smallest wrong choices can lead to big time trouble, but what could possibly be worse than being grounded until you graduate?
