A Thing
You walk in the direction of the lumbering beast for quite some time before finally getting close enough to really make it out.
The large grey creature is unlike anything you've seen before. The closest creature you can think to compare it to is a manatee but with legs. Its role as a pack animal is very clearly designated by the large amount of bags and boxes littered across the wooden platform fastened atop it. You also notice three smaller humanoid creatures in dark blue robes standing upon the platform, one of them seemingly driving the beast while the other two stand watch with crossbows.
In front of the animal are two actual humans in nomadic attire. One of the walks slightly ahead of the other, holding a small hand-axe and a rather large shield. The one behind holds a halberd, though they are currently using it as a walking stick.
Suddenly you hear a noise to your left, and you turn to see a large wolf charging towards you with a clear intent to kill.
