ASK AIDA - EXPO

You decide that you want to start growing your own food and minimise your future contact with the outside world. You purchase a large selection of fruit and vegetable seeds as well as the basic gardening tools.

You place the items in the back of your car before going back inside for food and toilet paper.
You enter Woolworths. It is complete chaos. People are everywhere, frantically rushing through the aisles. You make your way to the non-perishables aisle. It’s almost empty. You go to grab the last can of pumpkin soup when an old lady snatches it from your grip.
“I need it more than you”, she says and hurries down the aisle.

You check the other aisles- but the shelves are empty. There’s no toilet paper either.

Disappointed, you return to your car and head home.
Once home you take stock of how much food you currently have. Not much.
You spend the afternoon planting as many seeds as you can throughout your backyard. Perhaps, you can last until the first vegetables are ready for harvest.

You ration your food carefully, but it’s no use. Plants take a long time to grow.
